Disposable anesthesia circuit or breathing circuit is a medical consumable. It is used to deliver oxygen, remove carbon dioxide, and deliver inhalational anaesthetic agents to a patient. Originally developed for use in anaesthesiology, many variants of breathing system are in clinical use. Most anesthesia circuit comprise a length of breathing tubing to direct the gas, an connector with triplit, and a reservoir bag with its limbo, to allow assisted ventilation. Sometimes there is also a Co2 gas sampling tubing and anesthesia mask. To ensure patient’s safety, anesthesia circuit is made of medical grade PVC, without letax. Comparing to the breathing circuit set, anesthesia circuit doesn’t have water traps, but it has breathing air bags.

According to the actual needs, there are several types of the breathing anesthesia circuit: normal corrugated circuit, expendable circuit, reinforced cicuit, duo-limbo circuit and coaxial circuit.
